Sr. Human Resources Business Partner-Talent Development

Preferred Location: We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner who resides within a reasonable commuting distance (Ideal is approximately 1–2 hours) of our New Berlin, NY office. Although we hire in multiple states, this position requires occasional onsite interaction with leaders and employees, making proximity to the office an important consideration.

About the Role:

The Senior HR Business Partner - Talent Development is a key strategic advisor responsible for aligning talent development, organizational effectiveness, and people strategies with business objectives. This role partners closely with leaders to build leadership capability, develop talent pipelines, drive succession planning, support organizational transformation initiatives and workforce readiness. You will also partner with leaders to support performance management, employee relations, and talent acquisition initiatives, ensuring people practices are aligned with business objectives and organizational values. This role requires a highly collaborative leader with strong business acumen, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for developing innovative solutions that drive both organizational success and employee growth.

What You’ll Work On:

Talent & Organizational Development

  • Lead enterprise talent strategies, including succession planning, talent reviews, and high-potential talent programs.
  • Drive leadership development initiatives that strengthen organizational capability and bench strength.
  • Lead organizational design, culture transformation, and change management efforts to support business objectives.
  • Champion internal mobility and career development strategies to build and retain critical talent.

Learning & Development

  • Define and execute learning and development strategies aligned with business and workforce priorities.
  • Develop competency frameworks and scalable development programs that accelerate organizational performance.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of blended learning solutions across diverse employee populations.
  • Measure program effectiveness and leverage insights to drive continuous improvement.

Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to leaders, aligning talent strategies with business goals and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to advance key talent programs, including performance management, succession planning, diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I), talent acquisition, employee experience, and organizational transformation.
  • Influence workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives to enhance business performance.
  • Strengthen leadership effectiveness through coaching, consultation, and talent planning.

Data-Driven People Strategy

  • Leverage workforce analytics and people insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Identify talent trends, risks, and opportunities to inform workforce and business strategies.
  • Lead data-driven capability-building and transformation initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Measure and communicate the impact of talent, learning, and organizational development programs.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree required with 5-7 years of HR Business Partner experience. Master’s degree and HR certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent development, leadership development, learning and development, organizational development, human resources, or a related field
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise leadership and talent development programs.
  • Proven expertise in leading organizational change and transformation efforts, including workforce transitions, and structural redesigns that support business growth and employee engagement.
  • A strong passion for people and a deep curiosity to better understand and influence business operations.
  • The ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, peers, subordinates and other members of management
  • Insurance experience preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $92,500-$135,000 per year paid on a salaried basis. The rate offered to any candidate will be reflective of the candidate’s experience and any relevant education, certification, or qualifications related to their ability to perform the responsibilities of this position as permitted by law.
