YOUR PURPOSE AND FUNCTION IN OUR COMPANY:
The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a critical partner and trusted advisor to Preferred’s leaders, employees and HR team members. In this role, you will support our teams to successfully scale our business, evolve our culture and enable our teams to grow. The HR Business Partner will:
- Build strong working relationships across the enterprise to enhance HR’s role as trusted advisor;
- Provide support for key talent programs in support of business strategy including performance management, succession, DEI, talent acquisition, employee experience, and organizational transformation;
- Assist leadership in the identification and development of diverse talent and ensure talent strategies are linked to business priorities;
- Provide support, offer perspective and insight on change management initiatives, organizational and/or departmental restructures and job role design;
- Promote a coaching culture by providing guidance and support to leaders to drive high performance;
- Support change management efforts, nurture our culture and role model our core values;
- Utilize data and technology to identify trends, demonstrate impact and make data-based talent recommendations;
- Understand external trends in the marketplace, provide thought leadership and creatively solution people and business challenges;
- Assist in implementing key HR programs and policies in support of business strategy;
- Support salary planning and processes throughout the year including, but not limited to merit, bonus and equity processes;
- Serve as a point of contact for employees; helping them navigate professional or personal issues that impact their work and career growth;
- Be a contributing member of the Community – supporting community-based programs, attending Preferred sponsored events, and collaborating with business partners to find local talent.
KEY CAPABILITIES FOR SUCCESS:
- A strong passion for people and a deep curiosity to better understand and influence business operations

- Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written; experience presenting to a large audience and members of senior leadership strongly desired
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Knowledge of the HR field including employment laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as other business-related software
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- 5-7 years of HR Business Partner experience
- HR certification preferred
- Insurance experience a plus

The salary range for this role is $87,000 to $127,000 per year paid on a salaried basis. The rate offered to any candidate will be reflective of the candidate’s experience and any relevant education, certification, or qualifications related to their ability to perform the responsibilities of this position as permitted by law.
